Finalising the Plebiscite (AOEP member on Trustees Bord of Eir Pensions) – a letter from our Secretary Pat Doyle
Dear Member,
As you are aware we included a Plebiscite ballot paper in the Annual Report booklet circulated by post to all members last April. The purpose of the ballot paper was to seek your agreement to have pensioner representation on both Superannuation Boards (The Main Fund and the No.2 Fund). To date we have received 1,620 completed ballots which leaves us 140 short of the number we require to be successful.
Your Executive want to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the 1620 members who have already voted. If you who have not yet completed a ballot paper we ask that you consider doing so ASAP.
To facilitate your vote we have set a completion date of 30th November 2025. The easiest way to cast your ballot is by activating a link to a ballot paper on our website AOEP.eu.
Note please use your name as per your pension slip. Where the ballot says pension number please use only pension number, not AOEP or any other number. You can get your pension number by calling Mercer Payroll on 01 5360804, giving your name and PPS number.
In summary the voting options are
- Use your smart phone to log on to AOEP.eu, input your name and Pension Number on the link and sign your name on the mobile screen with your finger.
- Access the link from a PC, input your name and pension number, print the ballot paper, sign it and either scan and email it or post it.
- if you have the ballot paper from your Annual Report you may fill it in with your name and pension number and either Scan and email it or post it.
- Complete the attached ballot paper and either scan and email it or post it.
The postal address is Pat Doyle, Hanover Cross, Blackbog Road, Carlow, R93 R583.
If you are scanning your completed ballot paper the email address is eircompensioners@gmail.com. You can also send the paper ballot to me by WhatsApp.
To maximise the return of completed ballots it would be very helpful if you can conveniently make contact with other other pensioners you know, asking them to support our endeavour by completing a ballot paper. Even just by contacting one or two of your past work mates can be very effective in spreading the word.
Thank you for your support in all our endeavours. It means so much in terms of furthering the aims Your Executive are determined to be successful in this endeavour. They need your support to make that happen. Please do so. If you have any queries, need any help with the website link, please do not hesitate to contact me on 087 245 9950.
Kind Regards
Pat Doyle
