When you receive your ballot for holding elections to appoint Trustees to the Pension Boards, you will see 2 options on the Ballot “Standard Arrangement” and “Alternative Arrangement”.
The Executive asks you to vote “Standard Arrangement” on both ballot papers as it offers the best chance of having a pensioner(s) represented on the trustee board. The Alternative Arrangement is restrictive and tends to favour the status quo. Initially the Executive recommended voting “alternative” but subsequent analysis suggests that if the number of votes returned is insufficient then we would be left in a weaker position.
Please encourage anyone you are in contact with to vote. The successful appointment of pensioners relies on you casting your vote. The executive has worked hard for this, it is over to you now. Please vote asap.
